A horrorúthenger nem áll meg. Az apáca elképesztő nemzetközi (és hazai) sikere után természetesen tovább épül a Démonok között-világ.

James Wan, az első és második Démonok között rendezője, a különböző leágazások (az Annabelle-filmek és Az apáca) ötletmestere és producere továbbra is szorosan a kezében tartja a gyeplőt, de a Démonok között 3.-hoz új rendezőt választott. Michael Chaves nevét egy 8 perces horror rövidfilm, a The Maiden kapcsán ismerte meg a világ, és most egy hosszú horrorral gyakorol: jelenleg éppen A gyászoló asszony átka (The Curse of La Llorona, hazai bemutató 2019. április) című, egy mexikói legendán alapuló, de a 70-es évek Los Angelesében játszódó mozidarab utómunkálatait végzi. Ha ezt befejezte, rögtön áttér a Warren-házaspár valóságban is megtörtént és alaposan dokumentált démonűző munkájának újabb epizódjáról szóló film forgatására. A Démonok között 3. a sorozat hatodik darabja lesz: az előző öt film összesen több mint 1,5 milliárd dollár bevételt hozott, és ezzel már hivatalosan is minden idők legsikeresebb rémsorozata – a legsikeresebb Az apáca lett közülük.  De James Wan horrorjai egyre népszerűbbek, a következő démontörténet talán újabb rekordokat dönt majd…
