Az Emmi saját halottjának tekinti Benedek Tibort

     Az Emberi Erőforrások Minisztériuma (Emmi) saját halottjának tekinti Benedek Tibor háromszoros olimpiai, világ- és Európa-bajnok vízilabdázót, aki súlyos betegség után, életének 48. évében hunyt el csütörtök hajnalban.

    Az Emmi az MTI-hez eljuttatott közleményében emlékeztetett rá, hogy Benedek „kiemelkedően sikeres sportpályafutása végeztével – melyet mind Magyarországon mind Olaszországban 6-6 bajnoki aranyérem fémjelez – 2013 és 2016 között a magyar vízilabda-válogatott szövetségi kapitányaként tevékenykedett, az általa vezetett csapat megnyerte a barcelonai világbajnokságot”.


    A minisztérium közleményében úgy fogalmazott, Benedek Tibor személyében „tragikusan fiatalon, a magyar sport és a magyar nemzet kiemelkedő alakját veszítette el”.


    Benedek Tibort a Magyar Olimpiai Bizottság (MOB) szintén a saját halottjának tekinti.
