Sötét szatíra a magyar faluról

Néprajzos egyetemisták utaznak az elnéptelenedő Tégláspusztára, hogy interjút készítsenek Szennai Irénkével, akit valamikor halottlátónak, népi gyógyítónak tartottak. Két tanárukat Irénke múltjából a régi közjáték érdekli leginkább, az az időszak, amit az asszony Lipótmezőn, a pszichiátrián töltött. Rossz hír fogadja őket: Irénke meghalt, már el is temették. A kutatók a falu megmaradt lakóit faggatják, hátha sikerül többet megtudniuk Irénke életéről és váratlan haláláról. A helyi szóbeszéd szálait bogozva bizarr történet sejlik fel előttük, átszőve félelemmel, vakhittel, fékezhetetlen vággyal. Sötét álmok, mogorva öregek, vonyító kutyák, üres templom, bezárt téglagyár, elhagyott malomház, vészjósló temető – mintha a True Detective világa jelenne meg az ismerősen közeli magyar vidéken. Véletlenek sora köti össze az eseményeket vagy mélyebb összefüggés rejlik a történések között? Az örvénylő szóbeszédből mi az igazság?
