Az egyik legjobb koncertzenekar, az indie szcénában, már amennyire indie-nek nevezhető a War On Drugs, hiszen annyira kihallhatók az amerikai rockhagyományok, Bob Dylantől Tom Pettyig. Aki esetleg legutóbbi, Deeper Understanding című albumukkal kezdi csak az ismerkedést, jelezzük, hogy tökéletes választás, ez a zenekar évről évre egyre jobb.

Alex Turner pont akkor járt zenekarával a VOLT-on 2014-ben, mielőtt visszavonult volna egy időre az Arctic Monkeys, viszont a Szigeten már egyszer fellépett Last Shadow Puppets nevű csapatával, Most viszont ismét a Sziget kívánságlista-vezető anyazenekaré a főszerep, amely idén megjelentett már egy nagylemezt is. Ez a július végén kiadott, a lemez címadó dalához készített klip kimondottan a 70-es évekbe visz minket és mintha David Bowie szelleme is ott lebegne felette.
