A magyar labdarúgó-válogatott Szoboszlai Dominik bombagóljával 1-0-ra nyert Törökország vendégeként a Nemzetek Ligája új idényének csütörtöki nyitányán.

„Az első félidőben az eddigi legjobb teljesítményt nyújtotta a válogatott, mióta én vagyok a szövetségi kapitány. Igazi csapatmunka volt ez a mai győzelem, ami önbizalmat ad a folytatáshoz” – jelentette ki Marco Rossi. „Ez a rendszer igazából nem új, már játszottunk így kétszer. Az elmúlt tíz hónapban sok statisztikát néztünk át és azt láttuk, ezzel a felállással nagyon kevés lehetőséget adtunk az ellenfélnek” – tette hozzá az olasz szakvezető.
