A Pannónia Entertainment gondozásában a franchise-hoz nem olyan rég elkészült 4K-s felújítások kerülnek műsorra heti bontásban 3 héten át.

Egy Rambo nevű vietnámi veterán egy amerikai kisvárosba érkezik. Rendhagyó öltözete miatt pedig szinte azonnal felhívja magára a helyi serif figyelmét. A rend túlbuzgó őre szeretné megelőzni a bajt, így minden különösebb ok nélkül távozásra szólítja fel az idegent. Rambo azonban nem szereti, ha mások mondják meg, mit csináljon, s amikor a rendőr kitessékeli őt a város határán túl, azonnal visszafordul. Letartóztatják, megmotozzák és fogdába zárják. A rácsok látványa, az erőszak, az őrök durvasága kínzó emlékeket ébreszt a veteránban, mert a háború alatt megtapasztalhatta, hogy mit jelent fogságba esni. Rambo a fogva tartóira támad és megszökik. A Vietnámban tanult gerilla-hadviselés szabályai szerint pedig azonnal a közeli erdőség felé veszi az irányt.
