A Napsugár (Sole) című olasz-lengyel filmdráma érzékány témát dolgoz fel: Lena, a várandós fiatal lány Olaszországba utazik, hogy ott – jó pénzért – örökbe adja születendő babáját. A fiúval, akinek a nagybátyja a „vásárló”, azaz a jövendőbeli örökbefogadó, egy párnak adják ki magukat a hatóságok előtt, hogy mielőbb megkapják az engedélyeket.

A baba, Napsugár koraszülötten jön világra, ezért az örökbeadás előtt még gondozniuk kell egy darabig. Lena próbál érzéketlen maradni, hogy megakadályozza az anya-lánya kapcsolat kialakulását, ezzel azonban falat emel maga és Ermanno közé, akiben váratlanul felébred az apai gondoskodás ösztöne, és napról napra jobban a szívébe zárja a csöppséget…

Carlo Sironi filmje sikerrel debütált a Velencei Nemzetközi Filmfesztivál, a Torontói Nemzetközi Filmfesztivál és a Berlini Nemzetközi Filmfesztivál versenyprogramjában, Velencében a Lanterna Magica-díjjal ismerték el. A film 2021. májusában, a mozik újranyitását követően kerül országszerte a filmszínházakba, a Pannonia Entertainment forgalmazásában.
