Amos Decker ügynököt Floridába küldik, hogy egy kettős gyilkosság felderítésében segítsen a helyieknek. Az eset látszólag egyértelmű: minden nyom arra utal, hogy a női áldozat bíróként túl sok ellenséget szerzett magának, a testőre pedig csupán rosszkor volt rossz helyen.
