Gunda egyike a világon élő egymilliárd sertésnek. Ő is pusztán azért született meg, hogy beteljesítse azt a sorsot, amit az emberi civilizáció szánt neki: utódokat szüljön, majd élelemként szolgáljon. Gunda azonban erről mit sem sejt, számára idilli környezetben neveli malacait a tanya többi állata között, minden egyes nappal közelebb jutva az elkerülhetetlenhez.

A Gunda egyszerre intim portré egy állatcsaládról és megdöbbentő erejű, szöveg nélküli dokumentumfilm, amely különleges vizuális megközelítéssel tesz fel súlyos morális kérdéseket.
