Elstartolt a Balatoni Elsősegélynyújtó Szolgálat

Ezen a nyáron is vigyáznak a Magyar Vöröskereszt elsősegélynyújtói a strandolókra. 18 balatoni strandon 304 önkéntes teljesít szolgálatot a szezonban. Munkájukat, illetve azt, hogy jövőre még több helyszínen lehessenek jelen, a 1359-es adományvonal felhívásával lehet támogatni.

A programban több mint 300 fiatal önkéntes vesz részt, akik a vízben és a vízparton szerzett sérüléseket látják el 12 Balaton-parti település 18 strandján, június 29-től augusztus 20-ig, minden nap 10 és 18 óra között. Tavaly közel 3 000 esetben segítettek, egy alkalommal életet is mentettek. A leggyakoribb esetek a kagyló okozta vágás, a rovarcsípés és a különböző sportsérülések voltak.

Hazánk legnagyobb humanitárius szervezete idén is támogatók bevonásával tudta elindítani a Balatoni Elsősegélynyújtó Szolgálatot, amelynek fő támogatója az MVM Paksi Atomerőmű Zrt., telekommunikációs partnere pedig a Telenor Magyarország. Nem csak cégek, hanem bárki más is segítheti a programot, ha felhívja a 1359-es adományvonalat vagy elküldi SMS-ben az ADOMANY szót. Minden hívás vagy SMS 250 forint támogatást jelent a szervezetnek.

A szolgálat 2007-es indulása óta 36 138 esetben nyújtottak szakszerű segítséget a vöröskeresztesek, ebből 6-szor életmentést hajtottak végre.
