Egy kanadai játékgyártóhoz kerül a Rubik-kocka

    A Spin Master Corp. kanadai játékgyártó 50 millió dollárért (15,6 milliárd forint) megvásárolja a világhírű Rubik-kocka tulajdonjogait birtokló céget.

    A torontói székhelyű vállalat kedden jelentette be a Rubik’s Brand Ltd. felvásárlását.


    „A Rubik-kocka egy legendás kirakós játék, amely a popkultúra részévé vált és több mint 40 éve gyűjt magának rajongókat” – fogalmazott közleményében Elizabeth LoVecchio, a Spin Master alelnöke.


    Rubik Ernő közleményében azt írta, izgatottsággal tölti el, hogy a Spin Master „beteljesíti azon elképzelésemet, hogy játékok révén neveljünk intelligens jövő nemzedéket”.


    A Huffington Post című portál szerint a Rubik-ügylet várhatóan 2021. január 4-én zárul.


    Ifjabb Rubik Ernő 1974-ben találta fel a háromdimenziós mechanikus logikai játékot, amely világszerte sikerré vált, miután 1980-ban piacra került.
