Képregény Albert Camus Az idegen (Közöny) című regénye nyomán

Albert Camus azonos című regényének adaptációja a gyűjtők számára is értékes lehet. A művet Bayer Antal műfordító, a Magyar Képregénykiadók Szövetségének elnöke ültette át magyar nyelvre.
A francia mester klasszikusa egy Meursault nevű algíri francia hivatalnokról szól, aki elkövet egy gyilkosságot, el is ítélik miatta. Meursault büntetése halál, a regény pedig a büntetés előtti börtönnapjait tárgyalja. A végkifejlet nem kétséges, a tanulság azonban meghökkentő. Miközben ugyanis Meursault ellen emberölés vádjával jogos eljárás folyik, egyúttal koncepciós per áldozata is. Ha ugyanis az öncélú gyilkosságot elkövető tettest beszámíthatatlannak nyilvánítanák, megmenekülhetne a fővesztéstől. A bírák azonban végső soron a meursault-i mentalitást, az abszurd emberi mivoltot büntetik. Feláldozzák Meursault-t azért, hogy ne kelljen szembenézniük saját létük abszurditásával.
