Azután, hogy az első előzetes végre napvilágot látott, egyre kevesebb értelme van a titkolózásnak. James Wan, az Aquaman (Aquaman, hazai bemutató: december 20.) rendezője (másodállásban a Démonok között-filmek kitalálója és producere) eddig igyekezett a lehető legkevesebbet elárulni a víz alatti szuperhősről, és bár szószátyárrá most sem vált, azért az utóbbi időben hajlandó egy-két információmorzsával megörvendeztetni a rajongókat.

Az Entertainment Weeklynek például nemrégiben megemlítette, hogy a film gazdája, a Warner Bros. stúdió eredetileg azt szerette volna, hogy az Igazság Ligájának más tagjai is bukkanjanak fel a történetben, és így az Aquman szorosabban kapcsolódjon a DC-univerzumban. Még a film tavaly májustól októberig tartó forgatása során is próbálták meggyőzni – ám ő sziklaszilárdan kitartott eredeti víziója mellett.

– Azt mondtam, megértem őket, de én tisztán, egyértelműen csak Aquamanre akarok koncentrálni: egyetlen főszereplő karakterfejlődése volt számomra a lényeg. Én magamban úgy gondolok erre a filmre, mintha az Arthur király-mondakörből származna. A főhős nagyon máshol tart a történet elején, és nagyon más lesz a végére. Ezért válhat királlyá.
