Mi lesz a Csacska Macska kávézóval, ha beindul a hatalmas építkezés, amiről véletlenül szerez tudomást Elli és Blake? A gyerekek elhatározzák, hogy utánajárnak a dolognak, ezért nyomok után kutatva átsétálnak a közeli parkba. A fákkal, bokrokkal teli hely arra is tökéletes, hogy teszteljék, vajon más állatoknak is megértik-e a beszédét. Hamarosan találnak is egy furcsa madarat, aki úgy tűnik, igencsak beszédes.
Shazza, a kakadu hangos, akaratos és minden vágya, hogy visszatérhessen otthonába, Ausztráliába. Ám egyelőre meg kell elégednie Elli és Blake társaságával, akik végül rájönnek, hogy mi is az a titokzatos „nyaminyam”, ami után annyira sóvárog a sárga bóbitás madár.
