1963, Budapest. Az állambiztonság tisztje, Jung András (Nagy Zsolt) élete tökéletes: boldogan él feleségével, Évával (Hámori Gabriella), és az egyetlen dolog, ami előléptetését hátráltatja egy versengő kolléga, Kulcsár (Scherer Péter).
