    A magyar női kézilabda-válogatott olimpiai selejtezőtornán játszhat, miután a dán-norvég-svéd közös rendezésű világbajnokság középdöntőjének hétfői zárónapján 23-22-re legyőzte a horvát csapatot.

    Golovin Vlagyimir szövetségi kapitány együttese Kamerun és Szenegál legyőzésével, a Montenegró és Svédország elleni vereséggel négy ponttal várta a hétfői utolsó kört, amelyen nagy csatában, drámai összecsapáson egy góllal nyert balkáni riválisa ellen, így a tizedik helyen zárt, amely ötkarikás kvalifikációs tornát ér.
