Egy bizarr baleset folytán egy még bizarrabb gyilkosságra derül fény egy amerikai kisvárosban. A férfira azonban, akit a kettős gyilkosság vádjával letartóztatnak, hamarosan egy még sokkolóbb gyanú árnyéka vetül: legalább huszonöt éve folyamatosan rabolja el, kínozza és csonkítja meg az áldozatait.
