15 év után újra a profik között

„Soha nem szűnt meg bennem a sport iránti vágy!” Így magyarázta a legsikeresebb magyar testépítő, hogy 45 évesen, 15 év kihagyás után miért próbál újra szerencsét a fiatal profik között. A magyarországi edzőtermekben Mesterként tisztelt és emlegetett Kiss Jenő november végén San Marinoban lépett újra dobogóra profi versenyen. A korábbi világbajnok immár ötödik nemzetközi versenyén a 14. helyen zárt.

Kiss Jenő az egyetlen magyar testépítő, aki a junior magyar bajnoki címtől a felnőtt magyar bajnokságon, a világbajnoki ezüstérmes helyezésen át 21 évvel ezelőtt, 1996-ban az abszolút világbajnoki címig jutott. Mr. Univerzum egy saját étel és ruházati márka elindítása után tért vissza a versenyzéshez, miközben aktívan küzd a szeretett sportágával kapcsolatos negatív előítéletek felszámolásáért.

A San Marinoban megrendezett világversenyen magyar színekben indult még Tóth Dániel (13. lett), illetve a nők versenyében Mercz Melinda (13. helyezett).
